I overexposed this photo by 1/3 of a stop to lessen the gravity of the window reflections on the face of the driver. Although still messy, I believe the complex reflections add to the story.

Taken in the LRT, this unevenly-lit situation caused the guy to be less lit than his overly joyful companion. I did not bother to adjust the photo's white balance for I believe the overall yellow cast of the photo adds to the story.

Two of my friends conversing along the halls of Gonzaga made for a very interesting framing on my part. I converted it to black and white because the door frame was already dark in color and the washed out background behind them did not look too appealing. Hence, converting to monochrome helped solve some aesthetic concerns and was not merely for show.

A friend of mine perusing through social networking websites made for an interesting photo. In connection to the anonymity of person in the webpage, I cropped off his eyes to echo his own anonymity. Exposure-wise, a balance had to be made with the ambient room light and the unsteady light from the laptop.

One of my favorite photos from last season's UAAP volleyball was this staredown among two of Ateneo's players against a UP player. The Blue Eagle Gym is always a challenging place to shoot indoor sports as light there is not as good as, say, Araneta Coliseum.

Light coming from from the camera right side and slightly bouncing from camera left gave this photo of a foreign tourist the right amount of focus. Taken at the Mall of Asia, the light hitting the face is stronger than the light hitting the torso and right hand, giving emphasis to the face of the apparently serious traveler.

The Ateneo Lady Spikers celebrate a point during the Shakey's knockout game versus UST at The Arena last Tuesday. Although they were humbled by UST, the Lady Spikers finished at the top three this conference, their strongest showing in recent years.

Taken along the streets of Batangas, pocket knives or "balisongs" are fairly popular among the locals. Coming off a very cold place, the lens of my camera moistened and thus accounted for the dreamy and surreal effect of the photo. Overexposed? Slightly, yes. Intentional? Also a yes.
